Tuna Slice

Tuna Slice

I can't remember where this recipe came from, probably from the back of the Pampas Puff Pastry packet! It's something I've been making for my family for years; it's simple, tasty and quick. I like to have one in the freezer for when I'm not in the mood to cook.

Tuna Slice

2 sheets Ready Rolled Pastry
180g tuna in Springwater
1 cup grated cheese
1/3 cup chopped shallots
2 eggs

1. Place one sheet of pastry onto a slice tin lined with baking paper.
2. Combine tuna, cheese, shallots and one egg. Mix well.
3. Spoon mixture onto pastry, press down leaving a 2 cm border. Moisten border with water and place second sheet of pasty on top.
4. Glaze with beaten egg.
5. Bake in moderate oven for 30-35 minutes until golden brown. Serve hot.

This is such a simple recipe and served with a yummy salad is a perfect no fuss dinner!
